I graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2013 from the University of Texas at El Paso, which marked the start of my fulfilling journey. For nearly a decade, I had the honor of assisting adolescents, children, & families from various cultural backgrounds as a school social worker, with a special passion for supporting immigrant families as a first-generation American. In 2022 I earned my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Rio Grande Valley, completing my clinical internship with women and children impacted by intimate partner violence.

My experiences have deepened my commitment to breaking the stigma around mental health, guiding individuals to take steps toward healing. I have experience in supporting those affected by trauma, providing crisis intervention, safety planning, and addressing family dynamics, systemic issues, acculturation challenges, and life stressors. My approach is rooted in the belief that life experiences and unresolved conflicts can create unconscious patterns that affect our relationships with ourselves and others, including our children.

I provide a safe space for individuals to process their pain, fostering healthier connections and awareness. I utilize a strengths-based, person-centered, and holistic approach, practicing cultural humility and trauma-informed care with compassion and respect. I commend you for seeking support. Whether with me or another professional, taking this step forward in your healing journey is significant—not just for you but for future generations. You've already begun this journey by being here!

I offer free consultations and love to connect. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. *Alejandra provides Telehealth services in Texas.
